To become something very own nowadays costs a lot of self-confidence, bigotry and a some arrogant behaviour. When your music justifies this approach, you are more than welcome to come for your honour. But it also could be your end before you even have played your first live show. I am not saying Provo’s Polytype is going in this or another direction. There’s just too much “very own” in biography, page descriptions and below social streaming services. It feels forced and I think, there’s nothing to force when your music is that compelling. Polytype’s new track “Cyclone” could land in my mailbox with no mention and I’d share it with you. Polytype’s currently planning tours to promote their debut album Basic//Complex. It was already released in February and is now removed because of a national release in summer. More information here.
